How does Zoosk work?
It's simple! Complete your profile and click on the "Daily Matches" tab. Zoosk will automatically calculate the best matches for you and show them to you one by one. After viewing each profile, you can choose to either wink at the person, send a flirt, or simply skip. Choose a flirt from our suggested list of fun flirts, or write one of your own.

Where can I choose which emails I receive from Zoosk?
Click on the "settings" link at the top right corner of the page. Under email settings, you have 3 options for receiving flirts notifications: 1) Receive an email every time you get a flirt; 2) Receive an email daily that summarizes your flirts into one email; 3) Do not receive any email notifications. Also you can choose to receive winks notifications or not.

Where can I change my email address?
To change your email address, please click on "settings". Alternatively, you may change your email through your date card by clicking on the "My Date Card" tab and then on "edit your information".

How do I enter or edit my location in Zoosk?
Click on the "My Date Card" tab. You'll see your location listed there. Click on the link "edit your location" to the right. Note that if you have not filled out your entire Date Card yet, you will NOT see the option to change your location. Instead, Zoosk will ask you to complete your entire Date Card first. Once you do so, you will be forwarded to other pages where you can upload photos and edit your location.

What do I do if I forgot my password?
You can recover your password by going to www.zoosk.com and clicking on "Forgot Password?" on the main login page.

I don't want my age to show in my profile.
Zoosk policy requires that all members include their age in their date card. If you notice members who have profiles that do not display their age, it's because they have not filled in the required fields of their date card yet. They will be asked to completely fill them out in order to continue Zoosking. In order to conduct advanced searches, flirt, etc members are required to have a complete date card.

How do I upload photos to my profile?
We encourage you to upload as many pictures as allowed by the system. Making your date card more interesting will add to the attraction of it, increasing your chances of receiving more winks and flirts! First, make sure that your date card has been completed and saved. Once that step is done, you can upload photos by clicking on the "My Date Card" tab. To the left you'll see an image with a link below it that says "Add/Edit Photos".

What photos are allowed by Zoosk?
Your primary photo must be a clear photo of you, and only you. Your primary photo cannot be a picture of an object, animal, celebrities, or groups of people. You have the rest of your photo gallery to show off other things that are important to you. Also, none of the uploaded pictures may contain pornographic, copyrighted, or otherwise offensive material. Please read our
Terms and Conditions for details. We reserve the right to block access to users who don't comply with these rules.

Why can't I remove my photo?
Zoosk policy requires that all users provide at least one photo. Therefore, you cannot remove your last photo unless you actually deactivate your account. If you would like to change your photo, simply upload a replacement photo first and then remove the original photo. Photo edits can be made from your date card.

I have not uploaded a photo but someone has commented on my profile picture. What picture are they seeing?
If you have installed Zoosk through a social network (such as Facebook or MySpace), it will adopt the picture from your profile on the social network until you upload a photo directly to Zoosk (in which case, the social network photo is not shown anymore). All photo additions and edits can be made in your date card.

What are the gifts?
You can upgrade your flirt by attaching a gift. A flirt with a gift has much higher response rate than other flirts, and stands out in the receiver's Zooskbox. Put yourself in the other person's shoes; wouldn't you be more likely to reply to a person who sends you a rose along with a nice flirt? Plus, each time they go into their date card the gift will be visible there, reminding them of the time you took to send them something extra special.

What do I do if someone sent me an offensive flirt?
Please do not respond to the flirt. Instead, click on the link that says "ignore user". You also have the option of reporting the user to our administrators.

What do I do if see an underage member?
Zoosk is for users over 18 years of age only! This is a very strict rule and we do our best to ensure a safe dating environment for all. Our admins are always going through profiles blocking underage members. You can help us by clicking on "report this profile" and selecting "Under Age". This will alert our administrators, who will then address the issue according to our rules and policies. Thank you for your involvement in keeping Zoosk a safe dating environment for all!

Oops, I accidently ignored someone and I didn't want to!
No worries, this is easy to fix! Just click on "settings" and then click on "account". There will be a list of ignored users. Find the name and click unignore. Simple!

Will the other person know if I have ignored them?
No, you can always feel free to ignore other members for any reason. Whether it is because they have offended you or simply because you are just not interested, you can ignore them without them ever receiving notification that you did so.

Can I change the language of Zoosk?
Sure. Click on the globe icon at the bottom left corner of Zoosk page and choose the appropriate language.

What do I do if I am having trouble validating my email?
There will be a message in the inbox of your real email, not your Zooskbox. Its subject will be "Zoosk Email Validation". In this message there will be a link for you to use to validate your email. If you are not receiving the Zoosk Email Validation email, we recommend you try the following solutions:
- Please double check that you have correctly entered your email address. This can be checked via the "settings" link in Zoosk.
- Check your junk mail/bulk mail folder. The Zoosk validation email might have mistakenly gone to your junk mail folder. If so, please mark Zoosk as a safe sender.
- Many free email providers have free spam filters. Try turning off the spam filter temporarily and send yourself another Zoosk validation email.
- If for whatever reason you are still unable to receive Zoosk emails, please try a different email address.
We have strict email validation rules to make sure our users can receive flirt notifications from Zoosk. We do this to improve reply rate on Zoosk to provide a better dating experience for all Zoosk users.

Can I stop my friends from seeing in the news feeds of my social network that I flirted on Zoosk?
We value your privacy. Please choose from the following directions according to the social network you are using:

On Zoosk.com: Using Zoosk.com does not create any news feed stories.

On Facebook: Find "Applications" on your home page of Facebook and click on "Edit". From the drop down list, choose "Show Authorized". Find Zoosk and click on "Edit Settings". Click on the "wall" tab. Select "Never publish any stories from Zoosk" and click "Okay".

On MySpace: In the "My Apps" box click on "Manage Apps". Scroll down to Zoosk where it says "Applications You are Using" and click on "settings". Uncheck "Add this app to my profile" and "Update my friends on my activities". Leave the remaining items checked for Zoosk to work properly.

On Bebo: Click on the Zoosk application. Do NOT select "Remove Application", as it will remove the application altogether. Scroll all the way down to the very bottom of the page to see "Page built by Zoosk". Click on this link to go to Zoosk about page. On the Zoosk about page, click on "edit app settings". Uncheck "Add a module to my profile" and "Add items to Ch-Ch-Changes". Leave the remaining items checked for Zoosk to work properly.

Why do I see a gray icon instead of my picture in my date card?
This is because you have not uploaded your picture to Zoosk. To upload a picture click on the "Add/Edit Photos" link next to the gray icon and follow the instructions.

I'm a non-premium member. Why am I prompted to become a member to continue flirting?
Only premium members have unrestricted ability to flirt with whoever they wish. If you are a non-premium member, the system may restrict you from continuing conversations with other non-premium members. As a non-premium member, you can only reply to premium members. You can subscribe by clicking on "settings" and then "Subscribe" next to the Zoosk heart.

What is Zoosk Desktop?
Zoosk Desktop is a downloadable application that allows you to have Zoosk running on your computer,
even when you don't have your browser open. The Zoosk Desktop shows you "What's New" on Zoosk, and notifies you in real time when
you receive new winks or emails. You can quickly click the Zoosk Desktop window to go to your Zooskbox or view member
date cards.

How do I become a premium member?
You can upgrade to premium membership by clicking on "settings" and then clicking on "Subscribe" next to the Zoosk heart.

I am a premium member. Can non-premium members contact me freely without any restrictions?
Yes. If you are a premium member, all other Zooskers regardless of their premium membership status can contact you without any limitations or restrictions. Why? Because you are VIP!

I am a non-premium member. Can other non-premium members communicate with me without any restrictions?
No. Non-premium members will have limited communication unless they are having a conversation with a premium member. If both people are non-premium members, at least one person will be required to subscribe to a premium membership in order to continue the conversation without any restrictions. Premium members, on the other hand, can communicate with both premium and non-premium members.

Can I cancel my membership anytime I want?
Yes, you may cancel your membership anytime and for any reason. There are no contracts. Simply click on "settings" and then on "My Subscription". Scroll down the page and you'll see the option to cancel your subscription.

If I cancel now, will I be charged again?
No. If for any reason you decide to cancel your subscription, all future automatic payments will be canceled. Please be very sure that you are ready to end your premium membership when you cancel, because cancellation is non-refundable and effective immediately. The premium advantages will NOT continue until the next pay period if you've canceled.

I don't have a credit card. Can I still pay to become a premium member?
Sure, click on "settings" and then "subscribe" to go to the subscription page. All available payment methods are listed under the title that says "Become a Premium Member". Select the PayPal method if you don't have a credit card. Subscriptions through PayPal are non-refundable, one-time payment only. This type of subscription does not automatically renew.

Will my subscription automatically renew?
Yes. We hate worrying about paying bills as much as you do. That's why we automatically renew your membership so you have one less thing to worry about. Remember that you can always cancel your membership by visiting the settings page on Zoosk, in which case there will be no future renewal or fee. If you are paying via PayPal, it is a one time charge and will not automatically renew.

If I buy a multi-month subscription package and cancel before the end of the subscription will I be refunded for the time that is left?
No. Premium subscription fees are non-refundable.

If I cancel my premium membership, are my premium advantages immediately canceled?
Yes. The system automatically cancels your premium advantages immediately once you unsubscribe. If you plan to continue benefiting from your Zoosk premium membership, please do NOT cancel until you are ready for your premium advantages to come to an end.

What are Coins? How can I get Coins?
Coins are used to purchase virtual products and services on Zoosk. With Coins, you can purchase
Gifts, unlock conversations, arrange for a special delivery or receive a delivery confirmation for your email messages.
You can purchase Coins by clicking the Coins icon at the top of any Zoosk page, or by going to your "Settings," and then "Coins".
You can purchase Coins using a credit card, or by using PayPal or bank transfer in some countries. You can also earn free
Coins by inviting friends to join Zoosk, becoming a fan of Zoosk on Facebook, or by participating in some
special offers.

What is the difference between premium membership and Coins?
Coins unlock individual things — like unlocking the profile of a person who has
favorited you, for instance, or unlocking conversations once your free conversation limit has been reached. Premium
subscriptions, on the other hand, do not require those functions to be unlocked.
Premium subscribers may have unrestricted conversations with other Zooskers, but basic (free) subscribers can purchase
coins to have unrestricted conversation with individual Zooskers.
Some functions on Zoosk require coins from both premium and basic subscribers. In order to send Gifts to other
Zooskers, send a Special Delivery email, or request Delivery Confirmation for emails you send, all members
must purchase Coins.

What is "unlocking"?
If you are not a premium member, you can also use Coins to "unlock" contact
with a specific Zoosker. You can unlock an ongoing email conversation, see who has viewed your date card, and
see who has marked you as a Favorite. Once unlocked, you can have unrestricted conversations with this individual
Zoosker, as an alternative to upgrading to premium membership.

Will my Coins purchase automatically renew?
We want to make it easy for you to send gifts, unlock conversations, or send a special delivery
to that special Zoosker. That's why we offer the option to automatically refill your Coins balance when it reaches 10 or
less, so you have one less thing to worry about. Remember that you can always un-check this option when you purchase Coins
by credit card, or by visiting Settings, and then Coins to turn this option off after your purchase. If you are paying for
Coins via PayPal or bank transfer, it is a one-time charge and will not automatically refill.

How can I use Zoosk with my mobile phone?
To use Zoosk with your mobile phone or device, visit Zoosk Mobile at m.zoosk.com.
Zoosk Mobile is an optimized version of Zoosk for use with mobile devices and cell phones. Your phone will need
to have mobile web access and SMS capability.
On m.zoosk.com, select your country using the drop-down menu, and then enter your phone number without the country
code to register. Your phone number should include your area or city code, but not the country code. In most
cases you should be entering between 6-10 numbers only. The country code is automatically included when you
select your country in the drop down menu. Zoosk will then send you a special SMS message including
your PIN to validate your mobile phone number.
After you validate your mobile phone number using the PIN received in the SMS message, you can use Zoosk from m.zoosk.com
on your mobile device or www.zoosk.com using a computer, as well as through Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, hi5, etc.

Can I upload a photo from my cell phone?
Yes! To upload a photo from your cell phone or mobile device, first sign up for Zoosk Mobile at m.zoosk.com.
Once you have added your cell phone or mobile device to Zoosk Mobile, you can upload a photo from your phone. Go to m.zoosk.com and click the "Edit Your
Date Card" link, and then click the "Photos" link. Follow the instructions under the heading "Upload New Photos by Email" to email your photos
from your phone to your Zoosk account. After emailing your photos to this special email address for your Zoosk account, come back to the same
"Photos" page on m.zoosk.com to approve them. Once approved, the photo will appear on your Zoosk date card for both m.zoosk.com and
www.zoosk.com.

Why am I receiving text messages from Zoosk?
When you sign up for Zoosk Mobile, we will notify you of new winks, emails, or likes from
other Zooskers by text message (SMS). While Zoosk does not charge for this service, your mobile phone provider may
charge for text/SMS messaging.
To make changes to your text message/SMS notifications, log in to Zoosk and click "Settings", then "Mobile." Review the "Text
Message Settings" section to turn notifications on or off. Be sure to click the "Save Settings" button to save your change.

I am a premium member. How do I cancel my premium subscription?
We will miss you! Please click on "settings" on Zoosk. Then click "My subscription". Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link "Cancel my membership".

I emailed you to cancel my subscription payments. Why am I still a subscriber?
As much as we would love to read and reply to each email, Zoosk has well over 10 million active members, which makes it humanly impossible to respond to each email request. That's why, unlike other dating sites, we have made it very easy to cancel your subscription on your own. All you have to do is to click on Settings and then click on "Cancel Subscription". Since we make it so easy for you to cancel by clicking the cancelation link, we do NOT normally respond to email requests unless there are special circumstances that require attention from one of our team members.

How do I remove my profile from Zoosk?
To remove your profile from Zoosk, please deactivate your account. Click on "settings" on Zoosk, and then click on "Account". Finally, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the link that says "Deactivate your Zoosk account".

How do I remove the Zoosk application from my social network?
- On Facebook: Click on the "Applications" link. Click on "Edit". Then choose "Show Authorized" from the dropdown list. Find Zoosk and click on the "X" to remove.
- On Bebo: Go to Zoosk. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page where it says "Page built by Zoosk". Click on the link, it'll take you to the about page of Zoosk. Under the Zoosk picture, click on "Stop being an App User".
- On MySpace: In your application module, click on "Manage Apps". Find Zoosk in the list of your applications and click "Remove".

How can I remove Zoosk from Facebook if it is not listed in my applications?
If you can't remove it from the usual list of applications,
Click on this link. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click on the link "Page built by Zoosk" . Then at the top right hand corner you'll see on option that says "Remove this application".

If I remove the Zoosk application will that cancel my premium membership also?
No, Zoosk does not know if you have removed the application from your social network. So you should cancel your Zoosk premium subscription before you remove the application. You can cancel your premium subscription by clicking on "settings" on Zoosk. Then click "My subscription". Scroll to the bottom of the page where you'll see a link that says "Cancel my membership". Click on this link to cancel your premium membership. If you have already removed the application, simply add it back and follow this process. Then remove it again if you wish.

My Zoosk application on my social network and my Zoosk.com account are linked together. Can I remove the app but login directly via Zoosk.com?
Yes. If you have a zoosk.com account that is linked to your Zoosk application on your social network (example: Zoosk on Facebook), removing the application does not automatically deactivate your zoosk.com account. So you can still directly login and use your zoosk.com account.
