It also indicated that pet owners are seen as having more positive character traits. Those are some of the most important things people look for in potential mate, and work in favor of dog owners. Because dog owners are perceived in such a positive way, it\u2019s no wonder they\u2019re more likely to find love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nAnother survey<\/a>, conducted by the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, surveyed 500 people ages 18-26. It found that pet owners who had a strong attachment to their furry friends feel more connected in their romantic and personal relationships. The same survey determined that the more attached pet owners were to animals as teenagers, the more empathetic they are as an adult. So not only are dog owners perceived as great partners because of their dogs\u2014in many cases, they truly are great partners because of their dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, dogs can help you form non-romantic relationships as well. They\u2019re a great icebreaker to help you make friends. Let\u2019s say you just moved to a new city and are looking for opportunities to socialize. The dog park is the perfect place to meet people!
