More and more adults who are dating over 40 have never been married or are divorced and out there again for another round. Meeting the right person is about as difficult as winning the Publisher\u2019s Clearing House Sweepstakes (but someone always wins)! My recently published book, \u201cSingle and Not Settling!\u00a0 A Journey of Surviving the Dating World\u201d is relatable to any woman or man who is going through the dating maze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I experienced it all from speed dating to internet dating. I went on dozens and dozens of blind dates and first dates; hung out with friends at local singles bars and spent summers sharing single\u2019s houses in vacation communities. I had several proposals as well as two broken engagements, and forged wonderful bonds of friendship with other single women. Through it all, I experienced extreme highs and heartbreaking lows\u2014many laughs and too many tears. I realized there were millions of others out there going through the same exact thing. As much as I consider myself a private person, it was important for me to share my journey and give advice and tips to help others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My memoir has 13 chapters ranging from different ways to meet people, why you may be single and dating over 40, do\u2019s and don\u2019t when dating, and how not to blame yourself; but be realistic, as well as many more topics. What\u2019s important to know is we need to look at the person in the mirror and learn from past experiences in order to realize that each person you come across is a learning experience. They come into your life for a reason, either to teach you a lesson, give you a second chance, or hopefully to find your true love. You never know when or where you are going to meet the one for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
