Let\u2019s get right to the point\u2014dating sucks for everyone and trust me, no one knows how to do it. Take it from a former sorority girl, I literally had no interest in dating for the first two years of my college experience. Why waste precious time chasing one guy when you can go to a frat party and leave with whoever you want? Beats me. But whether you\u2019re dating, into one night stands, or into a combo always abide by these three rules:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #1: Don\u2019t listen to societal standards.
\n<\/b>Why can guys hook up with as many girls as they want and be considered a stud, but when a woman does it she\u2019s a slore? You know what, screw those double standards. Don\u2019t think that every guy you sleep with needs to be your next boyfriend\u201490% of the time he certainly doesn\u2019t think that way about you. If you really genuinely like a guy and only sleep with people you have feelings for, then that\u2019s totally okay too. You do you and don\u2019t worry about what anyone else has to say about it.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #2: Don\u2019t get attached and move on quickly.
\n<\/b>One thing I had an issue with early on in college was getting attached to guys. If you start seeing someone and then find out he is just not that into you, don\u2019t waste your time and your heart. If it wasn\u2019t meant to be, it wasn\u2019t meant to be. There are plenty of other people out there that are more deserving of your heart (and body). Don\u2019t dwell on the ones that got away, it\u2019ll only make moving on that much harder.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #3: Have fun with it.
\n<\/b>I know it\u2019s clich\u00e9, but just have fun with it. Don\u2019t take dating too seriously. It shouldn\u2019t feel like a chore\u2014dating should be something that you\u2019re genuinely super excited to do. If you\u2019re spending hours a day crafting that perfect text to send to someone, chances are it\u2019s not worth it. The conversation should come naturally. A fun and natural conversation translates well over into an actual relationship. Trust me.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I\u2019m no dating expert, but when I stopped caring what other people thought and started having more fun I met \u201cthe one.\u201d Dating has a reputation for being scary, frustrating, and expensive. And yeah, it totally can be that way.
