Dating is a blast, especially when you get into that sweet spot where you’re officially together. Being a part of a couple is something really special. There are so many things the two of you can share together. But when you’ve been with someone and you’ve established patterns around your life together, it\u2019s not always easy to come up with a million date ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But don\u2019t worry, we\u2019ve got your back. To help you have some great date nights (and days) we’ve come up with a list of fun things for couples to do together when they’re at home, or out and about. Try them for yourself, or use them as inspiration to come up with your own ideas. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Play board games.<\/strong>

Board games<\/a> or card games or even app games on your phone can be an extremely fun way to spend time together. You can easily do this with just the two of you or invite your friends over.\u00a0 You can even create ongoing games. Do you like Gin Rummy or Cribbage? Start playing and keep track of your points for a whole month or even a year. A little competition can be a fun, flirtatious way to pass the time that also brings you closer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reenact your first date.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Corny, but classic. Everyone loves revisiting the beginning of their love story. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head to a state park.<\/strong>
If you live in a beautiful place. Why not take advantage of it? Bonus points if the weather isn\u2019t right for a park visit\u2014rainy dates can make things more romantic<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make dinner together.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Whether you\u2019re doing it from scratch or using a meal subscription service, cooking together is really special and fun. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Work out together.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Either at home or at the gym or running outside, working out together can be a really motivating date. Take a class together, try something a little different like Zumba. Maybe you like biking, why not explore a new trail together? There are a lot of options.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to a concert.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Even more fun? Go see someone both of you haven’t heard of. Pick your favorite venue or local bar and head out to discover new music together.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rent a movie.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Streaming and binging television together is great, but when is the last time you actually went to the video store and rented something available? Streaming means you can find nearly anything, but a video store is a really fun experience, that won\u2019t be around for much longer. If your town still has one or two, head out and explore together. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Get a couples massage.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>If you have extra money laying around, why not have a nice date day at the spa? A couples massage is incredibly romantic and relaxing. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watch movies at home.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>As aforementioned, binging television is the thing to do these days. There is no shame in making your date night (or date-all-day) all about hanging out on the couch with the remote and snacks. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make breakfast in bed.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Who says date night has to be at night? Start your day with breakfast in bed. Let it linger. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a class together.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>You can register for a cooking class, a foraging class, a book club\u2014anything! Learn something new together. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Go to a museum.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>Most cities and towns have at least one museum, and many of them have free or discounted days. Take advantage of the chance to learn and explore with your love. The weirder the better. Maybe there’s a nutcracker museum, or a museum about the history of your small town? It can be a fun way to explore something new together and see what you find. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discover the sky.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Go outside at night, lay a blanket down, and look at the stars. There is nothing more romantic than a slight chill in the air while surrounded by a billion sparkling bits of the galaxy. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Play a sport together.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Mini-golf, regular golf, the batting cages\u2014even if one or neither of you are a talented athlete, playing sports together is a memorable date night. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a road trip.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Road trips are a great way to get to know each other better, even if you’ve been dating for years, road trips are a blast because they also end in a fun destination where your date can continue. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take a day trip.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>If you don\u2019t have time in your schedule to really travel, why not hop over to the next big or small city? Go apple picking in the county or a local  winery even if it\u2019s an hour or two away. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do a puzzle.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Similar to game night, but with more commitment, puzzles are a great way to hang out, have some nice wine, and spend hours together working on a common goal. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Host a wine night.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Speaking of wine, why not host a wine night at your house? You and your partner can each pick one or two wines to try and pair with a meal or a charcuterie spread. This is a great date idea to include other couples… or not! <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Take dance lessons.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>Many couples take dance lessons when they’re engaged in order to practice for the wedding. But regardless of if you’re engaged or already married, dance lessons are a great way to get closer and have a little fun while doing it. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Read together.<\/strong> <\/span>
\n<\/span>This is a great date idea because you can read outside of the home, or without leaving the couch. Why not set up a local park with snacks or go to the coffee shop and read and discuss what you’re reading over coffee and breakfast? Or you can always stay inside, light a fire (or turn up the space heater), and relax with one another. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Watch each other\u2019s favorite movie.<\/strong>
\n<\/span>A great spin on date night is to each choose a movie\u2014don\u2019t reveal it to the other person\u2014and watch them in succession. It\u2019s a great way to learn more about what your partner likes while also providing them with insight into who you are as well. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
