The holidays are about getting together with family, friends, and the occasional kiss under the mistletoe. We asked daters at the popular online dating site and app Zoosk<\/a> to share their favorite holiday micro-memories with a partner. Of the thousands of responses we received, we picked our 12 favorites to share. Each are memorable, loving, sweet, and short. We hope they warm your heart, too.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCuddled in front of the fireplace with eggnog, in ugly sweaters. There was nothing said, but it was this quiet, peaceful moment that created a lot of joy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDoing the 12 days before Christmas and giving him something for everyday.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe came over, ate, and spent alone time with just me while my kids were away.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur first Christmas morning, waking in bed together, and enjoying the morning together, alone with our first tree, a real tree\u2014just us two relaxing taking our time. We were in our first house we’d bought after six months in an apartment, and we were on cloud nine.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDriving in separate vehicles following each other to her families out of town, talking on two-way radios.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWalking in the falling snow at midnight, holding hands, and kissing in the middle of the street.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEating cracked crab, drinking a bottle of Mateus, on the floor by a nice fire and listing to Neil Diamonds album Hot August Nights.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe first Christmas with my first wife. We had very little but were able to create magic anyway.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHiking on Kilauea Christmas Day and getting within a quarter mile of the flowing lava.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCelebrating New Year\u2019s Eve and a first date at Northville Downs and winning on the last race that went off at midnight when they used to turn all the lights off. I won $500 and bought dinner for everyone that came to the event.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cChristmas morning, before both sets of children were to arrive, me and my then wife went up into the Cascade Mountains and filled the back of my truck with snow and shoveled it onto the front walkway.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLiving with the man I loved and waking up together on Christmas morning, going to church, cooking together, and spending it with family and friends.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGoing away to the Poconos for overnight at a B&B two days after Christmas: the snow on the ground, fireplaces in restaurants, Christmas lights, and decorations. Coming back to a warm bed in a romantic setting and just spending quality time as a couple in love with each other.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFalling asleep cuddled up on the couch on New Year\u2019s Eve, while watching old black and white Thin Man movies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHaving a little party, just the two of us, and the cat, putting lights on the tree with the Tijuana Brass Christmas album playing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

No matter where you find yourself these holidays, remember that you\u2019re loved and there\u2019s always good now and on the horizon.
