Whether you’re looking for some signs a guy is flirting<\/a> or a woman is getting flirty, it can be potentially embarrassing when you assume someone<\/span>‘s into you when they’re not. (What if they aren\u2019t flirting with you but you think they are and start to flirt back?!) Well, luckily, there are quite a few really common ways people flirt and once you know them it’s not that hard to spot them. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their eye contact is excellent.<\/b>
\n<\/b>Some of us are too shy to truly make eye contact with our crushes or people we’re interested in; others just feel awkward about looking someone in the eye so intently. Eye contact is really important, though. Not only is it a surefire way to communicate that you\u2019re feeling someone, it\u2019s also a sign of respect, if it\u2019s not overdone.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If someone is talking to you, and they make eye contact with you, don’t break it. Look into their eyes and let them know you are listening to them. There is some intense sexual tension that staring into someone\u2019s eyes can bring. If they keep initiating it, it may be a sign they’re interested. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There’s a lot soft touching. <\/b>
\n<\/b>Let\u2019s say you\u2019re out with a group of friends and you aren\u2019t sure if a mutual pal is flirting with you or not. One definite thing to look out for is if they find an excuse to be close to you, especially if it includes a gentle or soft touch. It\u2019s important to note that just anyone grabbing at you is <\/span>not<\/span> flirtation, but the key is to look for the softer touch. A graze against your lower back or knee. Someone reaching over to brush hair from your face. A lingering arm around your shoulders. These touches are always a great sign that someone is into you. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019re talking to you… a lot.<\/b>
\n<\/span>This goes double for when you\u2019re not around one another. Texting or messaging is one of the best and easiest ways for people to flirt these days. If you\u2019re together in a group and they are constantly talking to you\u2014asking questions and following up\u2014that\u2019s a great sign that they’re into you. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when you two are apart, if they reach out to you at least every other day, there’s a really good chance they\u2019re feeling you. Pay attention to the type of texts they send you. Impressing you, whatever that may look like, is a super flirtatious thing to do.
