After looking into the data, we found a few single mom dating tips to help moms be successful when dating online.

Zoosk found that women with kids get 13% more messages than those without children, and that they also engaged in 55% more deep conversations. With so many single parents going online to find someone, having kids is no longer a big deal or something you have to wait to reveal until later.

Even though being a single parent doesn’t affect online daters negatively, when creating your profile it can. In another study, Zoosk found that profiles with mentions of son, daughter, teenager, children, or single mom got 4% less messages than the average. So what’s the single mom dating tip? Your profile is your opportunity to talk about yourself! Help people get to know you independent of your relationship to your kids by focusing on what makes you unique, your hobbies, and the things you enjoy.
Don’t be afraid to talk about your kids.
Your profile is one thing, but chatting is another. Women who mention kids, son, or daughter in a message have a response rate 6% higher than the average. Your kids are a big part of your life and people who are interested in you are naturally going to be interested about who and what’s important to you. So chat away! Feel free to brag a bit. As you’re getting to know someone it’s important to let the conversation flow naturally. And when you’re a single parent, it can naturally flows towards your kids.
