Back in July, you may have seen that we launched Zoosk Live, our new livestreaming feature, bringing millions of new people to your virtual doorstep daily. How exciting is that?! It means that in addition to the multiple ways you already enjoy meeting, chatting, and dating people from all over the world on Zoosk, you can now connect with even more singles at any time of the day or night.
But if you had a quick look at Zoosk Live and thought, “What the heck is this all about?!”, Team Zoosk is here to answer all your questions, including this one!
What is Zoosk Live?
It’s not as complicated as it looks at first glance! Zoosk Live is a shared network of users from all over the world chatting, connecting, and enjoying fun, entertaining streams. Streamers/influencers are online 24/7, so there’s always someone to watch and connect with at any time.
As it’s an entirely virtual feature, it’s also the best way to socialize during a pandemic. Head to the main menu, click on Live and tap any stream to join in the fun!
Who can use Zoosk Live?
Anyone who has signed up to Zoosk and downloaded our app! Zoosk Live is currently unavailable on our website or via mobile browsers, but if you’re curious about live streaming and are keen to join the community, either as a viewer or streamer, all you need to do is head to the App Store or Google Play to download the Zoosk app in a couple of clicks.
Log in using the same email and password you used to create your Zoosk account and then hop over to the main menu, tap Live and explore and embrace the world of streaming!
Do I have to stream?
Not if you don’t want to, or aren’t ready to go live yet. Zoosk Live is essentially all about entertainment, so you can just watch streams if you prefer or jump right in and start streaming – the choice is yours!
They have real entertaining shows?
YES! Every day, there are tons of new shows hosted by talented, experienced streamers on a wide range of topics, such as dating, love, popular trends, TV, magic, and more. To find out what’s on and when, open up Zoosk Live and check out the sliding banners at the top of your screen under the categories. We’re sure you’ll find something fun to tune into!
How can I catch up on any streams or shows I’ve missed?
This isn’t possible – sorry! As this feature is all about live streaming, you have to watch the streams in real-time – they can’t be saved and so aren’t available on-demand.
To find out when the streamers you love will be going live, make sure to add them to your Favorites list by tapping the star icon in the top-left corner when you’re watching them. Ahead of their next stream, the streamers will send all their fans a short message with the date, time, and topic, so keep an eye on your notifications to avoid missing out on the live action!
For the themed shows, check out the sliding banners at the top of the Zoosk Live home screen to see which ones are coming up. Whatever you’re into, we guarantee there’ll be something for you!
What about the people who just seem to be talking – what’s that about?
With millions of new users and thousands of streamers/ influencers online constantly, the possibilities are endless. Many of the streamers are talking to their fans (Favorite one and see what happens) on topics of the day or checking in with friends they’ve made in the app. Say hello and join a conversation – talking to a streamer live is a great way to become a valued member of the community.
How much does it cost to join?
Zoosk Live is completely free for all Zoosk members! That means you get to watch entertaining streamers and shows, start streams, and meet people from all over the world as often as you like without paying a dime.
What are all these virtual gifts?
When watching a stream, you’ll get an option to send the streamer a virtual gift to show them you like what they’re doing or saying. Start with sending them as many hearts as you like, which are free, and then tap the gift icon to discover the rest of the range. All popular gifts can be purchased with Live Credits, a digital currency that’s exclusive to Zoosk Live.
You’ll notice another section for exclusive gifts, which can’t be bought – you earn them once you start interacting more with the community, and your viewer level increases as a result. Watch more streams, get chatting, send gifts, and build your own community of fans to unlock the exclusive gifts!
