Don’t Believe the Hype: Twitter exploded last week when rumors suggested that Emma Watson was cuddling up on secret dates next to none other than Prince Harry. “I can see the Internet is going mad for this one,” said a Buckingham Palace source. However, fans of the British twosome won’t see a royal wedding in their future. Watson took to her Twitter account almost immediately to quash the gossip, tweeting: “World. Remember that little talk we had about not believing everything written in the media?!” It’s too bad because we really love the sound of Princess Emma.
In the Friendzone: Don’t worry, ladies: Chris Evans’ date to the Oscars this weekend turned out to be…his best friend, Tara. ABC’s Robin Roberts wrongly assumed the handsome Captain America star was escorting his latest lady love to the big event, which made for a fairly awkward — but cute — moment on the air. There are reports that Tara was actually Evans’ date to his high school prom…who may have dumped him on the same night! It just goes to show that some lovers can, indeed, remain friends — and forgive and forget.
Date Night 24/7: Former Bachelor contestant, Sean Lowe, recently celebrated his first wedding anniversary with wife, Catherine Giudici. Despite the poor track record of Bachelor relationships, it looks like Lowe’s and Giudici’s is made to last. The secret? Fun date nights — with a theme. For example: “If she wanted to go have Chinese food, she might want to go see Chinese lanterns in the park afterwards,” says Lowe. The Texan native also says that he often writes his wife a card to give during their date nights. “It’s important for newlyweds to know that it’s not easy. You’re going to run into hurdles, especially when you come from two different backgrounds,” Lowe says. “But you’re going to work your way though it and find what works best for your marriage.”
Getting Serious: It definitely looks like the “Heart Wants What It Wants” when it comes to Selena Gomez taking her relationship with Zedd to the next level. The singer is reportedly planning to introduce her DJ boyfriend to her parents during Easter at their home in her native Texas. “Selena is really eager to introduce Zedd to her family in Texas. She knows her mom is going to absolutely adore him. She’s planning on bringing him home for Easter. She wants to do the whole Easter egg hunting thing with Zedd and her little sister,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com. Zedd would be the first guy Gomez has taken home since her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber. We think we speak for all when we say we’re glad that Gomez has finally moved on from the Biebs.
Still Friendly: Yet another Hollywood couple proving that getting along with your ex is possible — the original Bennifer. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez had a cute mini-reunion at last week’s Oscars. Apparently Affleck whispered something into Lopez’s ear during a commercial break and then Lopez playfully swatted her ex on the arm. Although the pair broke off their engagement in January 2004, the two have remained friendly over the years. “We don’t have the kind of relationship where she relies on me for advice, but we do have the kind of relationship where there’ll be an email saying, ‘Oh, your movie looks great,’” Affleck told The Hollywood Reporter in 2012 of Lopez. “I remember when she got American Idol. I said: ‘This was really smart. Good luck.’ I touch base. I respect her. I like her. She’s put up with some stuff that was unfair in her life, and I’m really pleased to see her successful.” We wouldn’t mind if these two reunited…professionally. Just not another Gigli, please.
